PTL vs FTL: Choosing the Right Freight Option for Your Consignment
When to share space on a Part Truck Load lane versus booking a Full Truck Load dedicated vehicle for your manufacturing or distribution shipment.

Article
Choosing between Part Truck Load (PTL) and Full Truck Load (FTL) comes down to volume, timeline, and consignment fragility.
Part Truck Load (PTL)
If your freight occupies between 2 to 8 pallets or between 500 kg and 5 tonnes, PTL allows you to share trailer capacity while paying only for the volumetric space and weight you consume.
Full Truck Load (FTL)
When your consignment fills an entire 19ft, 24ft, or 32ft container, or requires uninterrupted transit directly from facility to dock without transshipment, FTL provides dedicated capacity with faster turnaround times.
